CLARETIANS The Claretian Congregation of Priests and Brothers was founded by St. Anthony Mary Claret on July 16, 1849 at Vie in Spain. The Charism of the Claretians in the Church is an experience of the Spirit conforming with Jesus Christ the Evangelizer in the style of St. Claret, Mission and evangelization through the media, retreat and preaching of the Word of God, pastoral and social services are the apostolates of the congregation. Claretians of Chennai province came to the Archdiocese of Ranchi in 1997. The province opened its first house at Lalpur, Ranchi. The main objective of this house is formation of the candidates from Chotanagpur. They opened formation of aspirants and pre-novices.
