SISTERS OF MERCY OF THE HOLY CROSS

The Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross was founded in 1856 by Fr. Theodosius and Mother Mary Theresa Scherer in Ingenbohl, Switzerland.  The Sisters arrived in Lalpur, Ranchi in 1973 and started a school with the aim of educating the children and to be present among the Christian families.  They were invited to Bettiah in 1894.
