SINGPUR

Singpur is a mission station carved out of Hulhundu and Dhurwa Parishes.  On demand of the local public Fr. George Zwizen started Morning Star School at Kataritoli on January 12, 1981 and in 1983 the school was transferred to its present site.  The school began to grow and every year one class was added under the care of the Ursulines from 1987 to 1991.  The school took concrete shape from 1992 under the direction of the Marianist Brothers.  The mission was visited from Hulhundu for spiritual needs until the appointment of Fr. Alphonse Ekka as the first resident Priest on September 1, 1991.
