CONGREGATION OF ST. JOSEPH OF THE APPARITION

The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition, founded by St. Emilie De Vialar on December 12, 1832, was a flourishing congregation in Burma till the political situation became hostile to the activities of the missionaries over there.  Ousted from Burma the Sisters came to Jamshedpur.  Finally they stretched out their apostolate and arrived in Ranchi in 1973.  At present the Sisters have established their Provincialate and Novitiate at Doranda and a community at Garalodhma.
