SOCIETY OF MARY (MARIANISTS)

The Society of Mary was founded in France in 1817 by Blessed William Joseph Chaminode.  It is a pontifical religious institute of brothers and priests.  They work for the development of a just and paternal society in many countries including India (since 1970) and Nepal (since 1972).  In India (i.e. Bangalore and Ranchi) the society has shown special interest in street children.
