SISTERS OF MARY IMMACULATE

The tiny seed of SMI Tharpakhna, Jail Road, was planted in the fertile soil of Ranchi Archdiocese on December 14, 1993.  A need for their presence was felt in the heartland of Chotanagpur as they were richly blessed with many vocations from the area.  Ranchi was considered an ideal spot from where to radiate in all directions.  The principal aim for which the Sisters are invited is to enrich the local Church by living and sharing their spiritual and apostolic charism - the Little way of Spiritual childhood and Evangelization and Catechesis.
